The Story Behind Kassy Max Fine Art Newborn Photography

My passion for photography began with a personal experience that left me wanting more. When I tried to capture precious moments with my children, the results lacked the tenderness and beauty I envisioned. With my background in art, I realized I wanted something greater—true artistry, where every detail holds meaning and emotion.

This led me into the world of fine art photography. My training in architecture and design taught me to see beauty in every nuance—in the interplay of light, harmony of lines, and attention to the smallest detail. I believe a photo can be more than just an image; it can become a heartfelt piece that captures a family’s story.

Each newborn session allows me to reveal the unique qualities of each baby. I handcraft every color palette for each shoot, never using presets, to authentically convey the depth and beauty of the moment. This approach reflects my view of photography as an art form.

Six years ago, I moved to San Diego. and began building my business from scratch. Opening my own studio was challenging, but I dreamed of creating a space where every detail reflects my vision. My studio is a cozy, safe haven where parents can relax and fully enjoy the experience.

Every session features one-of-a-kind, handmade props crafted from my designs, constantly updated to keep each session fresh. One special piece—a custom wooden horse that has become the studio’s symbol—is adored by children, adding a touch of joy and personality to every shoot.
