My passion for photography began with a personal experience that left me wanting more. When I tried to capture precious moments with my children, the images lacked the tenderness and beauty I envisioned. With my background in art and design, I realized I wanted to create something deeper — photographs filled with emotion, softness, and meaning.
This led me into the world of fine art maternity and newborn photography, where light, styling, and thoughtful details come together to create timeless imagery. My training in architecture and design taught me to see beauty in every nuance — in light, composition, and the smallest details that make a moment feel real and emotional.
Over time, my work naturally grew beyond newborn photography into the beauty of motherhood as a whole. Maternity sessions became more than just photographs for me — they became an experience where women could slow down, feel beautiful, confident, and truly comfortable during such a special season of life.
I gently guide every mother through posing and styling so she never feels awkward in front of the camera. My goal is for every woman to leave not only with beautiful images, but with memories of feeling relaxed, feminine, and fully taken care of.
Seven years ago, I moved to San Diego and built my studio from scratch. I dreamed of creating a calm, welcoming space where expecting mothers and new parents could relax and enjoy the experience.
Today, Kassy Max Fine Art Motherhood Photography is more than a photo studio. It’s a place where pregnancy, newborn days, and the earliest chapters of motherhood are transformed into timeless art and meaningful memories.

From wardrobe guidance and styling to carefully selected props and thoughtful preparation, every detail is planned with intention.
My goal is not only to create beautiful images, but to give you an experience that feels effortless, enjoyable, and memorable — and photographs that will become cherished family keepsakes for years to come.

The space features professional studio lighting, a curated client wardrobe, beautiful props and accessories, and everything needed to create timeless portraits in a relaxed setting. With private parking directly at the entrance and a private restroom, every detail has been carefully considered for your comfort and convenience.
